was written to Joseph E. Falkner from his teacher Miss Evridge. On Faith, An inspirational story.
If you don't get an award when you really know you should, Don't be disappointed, God knows when you are "good."
It isn't always the best man who is honored here below, Because people give the awards, and there is so much
they don't know. So when you fail or think that you have had tremendous loss, Remember, our Savior was perfect
and his reward was a cross. And remember, my friend, as you travel through life with all its strife and sin,
that as long as you please Christ, you're the fellow who will win! There are many many wonderful inspirational
stories in this book. One of my favorites is on page 78 on Giving. It brought tears to my eyes.

Sunday, April 22, 2001 "The deepest thing in Christianity is God's love for the earth. That God is rich in his
heaven is something known also by other religions. That he wanted to be poor together with his creatures, that
in his heaven, he wanted to and did indeed suffer for his world, and that through his Incarnation he enabled himself
to prove the suffering of his love to his creatures: this is the hitherto unheard-of thing." Hans
Urs von Balthasar When Hans Urs von Balthasar suddenly left us on June 26,1988 the world lost a man of a stature
seldom found today. No less a person than Henri de Lubac considered him the most cultured man of our time. He
was a man of the Gospel, of intellectual life, and of culture who uniquely encompassed the great Western
and European heritage. Two days before he was to receive the insignia of Cardinal by which John Paul II
wanted to honor this teacher of the Church, he took his farewell as if he still wanted to forego the honor which
he had accepted in obedience: he was too shaped by the poverty and self-expropriation attested in the Gospel,
especially with regard to himself. accessed from Liturgy Pages, back to New Liturgical Movement http://praiseofglory.com/newliturgical.htm/

April 2, 2001 Failure is the path of least persistence. Taken from THE ROAD TO SUCCESS Persistence
is a must in accomplishing one's goals. I can remember many a times in my childrens lives when their was no outlet for
the particular interest my sons had, and through sheer persistence and a lot of prayer, things change in our favor. It
probably was mostly prayer, but I know that my persistence guided, along with God's whispers, people to see things in a visionary,
hopeful perspective; whereby, they gave it a try; instead of a flat no. I got a yes.

Saturday, February 17,2001 Hi, here is a quote from the booklet "The Road to success" Few people
travel the road to success without a puncture or two. I personally have been punctured many many times, but how does
one describe success? Is it having the grandest house with the sharpest car, and lots of money to do as I please? OR
Is it having a house full of family during the holidays? OR Maybe it is knowing that one is saved by Christ the
only son of God? It could be all of the above? I believe the gift of faith in God and his only son who came to save
us from our sinful nature. The faith in God who conquered death and crush satan. ***************************** When
a man fears the Lord, he shows him the way he should choose. He abides in prosperity, and his descendants inherit the land.
Psalm 25:12-13 ****************************************** The above bible verse is not exactly the verse
I was looking for, but it will do because it speaks of prosperity and how God will show us the way; there in lies our
success.
Monday, February 13, 2001 Romans 8:26-27 "In the same way the Spirit helps us in our weakness.
We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with many groans that
words cannot express. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit
intercedes for the saints in accordance with God's will." FEATURED CHURCH SIGN: The largest
room in the world is the room for self-improvement. I John 5:14-15 "Now this is the confidence that
we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us." We can be confident in
our prayers taken before God. But effective prayer must be offered "according to His will" by those
who "do things pleasing in His sight." (See I John 3:22). "God always gives us what we ask
for - or something better." - Unknown "Prayer is not conquering
God's reluctance, but taking hold of God's willingness." - Phillips Brooks "Don't pray
for tasks equal to your power, pray for power equal to your tasks." - Unknown The child
was a typical four-year-old girl - cute, inquisitive, bright as a new penny. When she expressed difficulty in
grasping the concept of marriage, her father decided to pull out his wedding photo album, thinking visual images would
help. One page after another, he pointed out the bride arriving at the church, the entrance, the wedding ceremony,
the recessional, the reception, etc. "Now do you understand?" he asked. "I think so,"
she said, "is that when mommy came to work for us?" Q. Who killed a fourth of the people in the world?
A. Cain, when he killed his brother Abel! Aha! Think about it - at the time there were only
four people: Adam, Eve, Cain and Abel. To SUBSCRIBE visit: <a href=" http://www.shagmail.com/sub/bible.html
