Silence is one of the hardest arguments to refute.

Whoso keepeth his mouth and his tongue keepeth his soul from troubles.
Proverbs 21:23

I am the worlds worst at this!  I am always making huge mistakes that I regret.
I really have a love for people, and I love to make someone smile, but there are those times, when I just continually put my foot in my mouth, and long after the person I feel I have offended has forgotten, or possibly never even noticed, I kick myself over and over.

I am older now, and I would think that a person of my age would have learned to guard my soul by keeping my mouth shut more often.

I have heard more than one person tell me that no one wants to hear negative things.  Everyone does not want to listen to troubles; they want to have fun, and a person should not share or speak anything negative, but only positive words because no one wants to be around a person who brings others down.

Because this is my blog, I guess I would like to leave people with a thought, which is that, if a person speaks only kind and wonderful words just so that person will be liked, and fun to be around.  I would say that the friendship is superficial, and not real at all.

I am going to make mistakes, and put my foot in my mouth on a regular basis, and people are not going to like me, and that is o.k.

Because at least I was geniune and not fake.  I never purposely want to hurt or insult anyone, and I try never to do that, but there are days that someone is going to take my joke wrong, and be offended, which happened recently, and then a bunch of negativity surfaced.  I guess I just have to accept that.

I think the very best we could do for God and for ourselves is to think the best and not the worst of someone, when we make those stupid mistakes, and in doing that act of kindness, we will follow the above statement of keeping our mouths closed instead of opened when we are offended or insulted.

Because when we speak bad of someone, or even think the worst, instead of the best; we are inviting trouble into our own home, into our own life, so guard what we say about others because it really comes back to rest on the doorstep of the person who speaks ill of others.

A new year has started and a new decade, amazing.
I am hoping to start off the new year with a passion and determination to add value in my small way, so here goes;

The topic of Strength from the book Perfect Trust by Charles Swindoll

In Congo, during an uprising many years ago, a British medical missionary named Helen Rosevere was strong in her faith, trust, and confidence; and even with her strength of faith, trust, and confidence; she was not protected.  Helen suffered trials of being treated brutally, she was assaulted and raped.

Amazingly later she said, "I must ask myself a question as if it came directly from the Lord 'Can you thank me for trusting you with this experience even if I never tell you why?'"

Now satan will warp this and try to tell us that if we are God's children we will suffer too.  Jesus suffered.  Job suffered, Helen suffered.  You and I suffer.  Do Not listen to the evil liar (Liar), who is a lion waiting to pounce on us.  He wants to destroy us.

That is the whole purpose of Jesus suffering, Job's, Helen's, your's and mine.  We all suffer because satan lies to us.  He manuevers us into a position where we will suffer, and then we blame God.  Jesus suffered because of satan's Lies to Adam and Eve.  Their disobediance; their sin brought death upon us, so Jesus made the choice out of devine love to save our wretched souls; Job suffered because satan conieved his way into Job's life with his lies which caused Job terrible suffering and trials of huge purportion; and satan's evilness made Helen suffer.  We must not blame God, as God is all good, and he has a plan for us.  It is that all things work together for our benefit, for our good.  I believe the word of God.  I claim that my cup is going to over flow.  It is not my fight.  I give it over to God.  I am a weak sinner who will fail every time.  God is my strength and my salvation.

Again Helen said, ""I must ask myself a question as if it came directly from the Lord 'Can you thank me for trusting you with this experience even if I never tell you why?'"

Even if, I never tell you it was not I.  It was the evil one.  Yes I could have saved you, but there were others who were listening to satan's Lies, who chose to do evil instead of good.

Helen's question is perfect trust.  That is perfection.  Trust God for he is all good and would never harm us.  Our sin might harm us, but Not God.  Trust God even if he never tells us why.  Though we have suffered through trials, trust God; though we have been physically abused, sexually abused, emotionally abused, Trust God for he is goodness itself.  We do not know what or when, but some good will come out of the suffering, out of the trials we all endur that God will bring about goodness; and knowing that is perfect trust.
